The time has come for the event zone to leave! However, given the recent server issues and the inconvenience of being unable to enter the game, we have decided to extend the departure somewhat as compensation.

So the event zone will be leaving on Monday, January 14th. This gives you all of this week, as well as the upcoming weekend to finish up all that you are working on and claim your rewards! So have at it!

It isn't either. The zone will disappear when the servers are updated sometime on the 14th, same as all patches or updates.
